投入參與、起來承擔

這是教會在這兩季，即四至九月份，所定下的季題。相信不用詳加解釋，題目所帶出的意思是清晰不過。參與和承擔是不可分割的，你對教會有承擔就必會參與；你在參與教會的事奉，就承擔起一些責任。我們希望更多人起來參與和承擔，不是因為人手缺欠，因為神是一個豐富的神，祂必有預備。我們想鼓勵更多弟兄姊妹參與，是因為我們希望大家能有機會回應神的愛。其實參與有很多形式，我們應該按着神給我們的恩賜去參與教會內和教會外不同的服侍。我們的生命應該是一個服侍的生命，因為這是主耶穌給我們留下的榜樣。

Step In and Step Up

This is the seasonal theme set by the church for the next two quarters from April to September. In Chinese, we used “to Participate” for “Step In” and “to Take Responsibility” for “Step Up”. Participation and commitment are inseparable. If you are committed to the church, you will participate; when you participate in serving, you will take on certain responsibilities. You might think that participating in serving may mean shouldering a heavy burden, and if you don’t do it well, you may feel guilty and blame yourself. I do not want to give this impression to my brothers and sisters. We encourage more of us to get involved and take on responsibilities, not because we are short of manpower, as God is a God of abundance and He always provides. Instead, I want you to know that serving is positive and is an opportunity for us to respond to God’s love for us and hope that everyone will have this opportunity. Of course, there are many forms of participation, and we should participate in different services inside and outside the church according to the gifts God has given us. Our life should be a life of service because this is the example the Lord Jesus left us.

上一季我分享到教會在帶領的架構上作出了改變，我們盼望有更多弟兄姊妹願意考慮加入長議會的行列。但是倘若你認為長老不是你的呼召，那麼你會考慮其他的事奉崗位嗎？無論是運用你管理財務的恩賜作司庫，或是參與管理其他教會的事務如教會的建築物、音響的設備，行政上的運作等等，這些都是作執委的工作。我們來年正正在司庫和副司庫方面，十分需要弟兄姊妹來承擔。因為長議會的成立，執委過往需要作一切的工作和決定，現在逐漸有明確的分工，以致弟兄姊妹在考慮出任執委時，不用過於擔心加入教會領導團是一個很難的侍奉。當然教會還有很多其他的侍奉弟兄姊妹可以參與，包括崇拜主席、領詩、音樂侍奉、關顧，栽培，主日學老師…等等。要建立健康的教會，教會每個信徒都有他/她可參與的地方。

Last quarter I shared that our church has made changes in her leadership structure and we need more brothers and sisters to consider joining the Board of Elders. But if you feel that being an Elder is not your calling, would you consider other positions of service? Whether it is using your gift of financial management to serve as Treasurer or participating in the management of church affairs such as managing the church building, audiovisual equipment, administrative operations, etc., these are works an Executive Committee member will be involved in. In the October election, we indeed need someone to step up in these two positions: Treasurer and Vice Treasurer. The Executive Committee used to be responsible for doing everything and making all decisions. However, with the establishment of the Board of Elders, there is a clear division of labour and being part of the Excom would not be such a daunting task. Of course, this is not the only way to serve as you can consider becoming MC for Sunday services, worship leaders, worship band members, welcome team members and leaders in Equip, or helping with discipling new believers, caring for anyone in need…etc. To build a healthy church, all believers of CACC have a part to play.
